Naver blogger outreach in Korea runs on 체험단 (cheheomdan, experience group), an industrialized blogger seeding system. A brand gives a product or a free visit to recruited Naver bloggers, who publish a review to a written brief inside a set window. That means posting a campaign to a Korean recruitment platform, screening applicants on 일 방문자 수 (il bangmunja su, daily visitor count), and receiving a batch of blog URLs. The disclosure liability stays with the brand.
For the wider channel, start with the Korean influencer marketing guide for foreign brands. This piece works the governance layer: what the deliverable is, what a participant costs, and why seeded posts rank for nothing. Data current as of September 2026.
What Does a Cheheomdan Campaign Actually Deliver?
One Naver Blog post per participant, written to your brief, published inside a deadline, and held live for an agreed retention period. That is the whole product. Relationships, raw files, and usage rights are separate negotiations.
The sequence is standardized. The brand or its agency posts a campaign, bloggers apply, and the platform selects against 일 방문자 수, posting cadence, topic focus, and blog age. Which product you are buying, 체험단 against 기자단 (gijadan, press group), and what registered Naver Influencer status adds on top, are worked through in the guide to Korean influencer tiers and what each tier buys. Each participant then gets a 가이드라인 (guideline): the keyword the title must carry, a photograph minimum, talking points, links, and the disclosure line. Where seeding sits in the order of a full launch, and what has to be contracted before the content can be reused as paid media, is set out in the guide to influencer campaign structures for Korea launches.
Six months is the Korean retention default and the platforms publish it. 미블 (Mrble) tells participants in its 2026 FAQ that the minimum period after a review is six months, and that failing to hold it can trigger a compensation obligation for what was provided. 아싸뷰 (Assaview) sets six months from review registration in its 2026 FAQ, and 리뷰플레이스 (Reviewplace) six months from the campaign closing date, under Article 19(3) of its terms.
Note who that clause binds. It runs platform to blogger, and the advertiser is not a party, so a post deleted in month four gives the brand no claim against the blogger. Put the retention period and the remedy in your own order with the platform, the only contract you hold.
Who Runs Naver Blogger Outreach in Korea?
A recruitment platform, an agency, or both. Korean bloggers are sourced, screened, contracted, and paid inside Korean-language systems keyed to Korean bank accounts, so foreign brands buy through the layer.
레뷰 (Revu) announced 1.5 million registered influencer members, in unaudited company figures carried by Herald Business on June 9, 2026. Below it sit 미블, 링블 (Ringble), 디너의여왕 (Dinner Queen), 아싸뷰, and a long tail of regional recruiters, alongside agencies booking across platforms.
The unit economics are small enough to be dangerous. Miso, a Korean services marketplace, puts the average quoted 체험단 campaign at 599,000 won (price guide, December 12, 2025), and Tagby, a Korean campaign platform, puts seeding agency fees at 15 to 30 percent of budget or a per-participant management fee of 10,000 to 30,000 won, in a guide republished by Open Ads on January 9, 2026. Both are vendor published. A line that cheap clears approval without governance, while the exposure below scales with participant count.

What Does a Naver Blogger Cost, and On What Metric?
On 일 방문자 수, and at least one Korean platform publishes the arithmetic. Tagby’s compensation guide of April 8, 2026 gives the Naver Blog starting formula as average daily visitors divided by 1,000, multiplied by 20,000 won, and works it through at 3,000 average daily visitors, which computes to 60,000 won. That formula prices the blogger’s 원고료 (wongoryo, writing fee). An advertiser’s per-head line item is the platform or agency participant fee plus product cost plus shipping, and on product-only waves no cash reaches the blogger at all.
The line scales linearly: 1,000 daily visitors computes to 20,000 won, 10,000 to 200,000 won. Ask for the daily visitor figure behind each participant and you can sanity-check a quote before you open it.
The formula also explains the product-only end of the market. At 1,000 daily visitors the computed fee sits below the retail value of most seeded products, so the product is the whole compensation, and what arrives is your guideline reassembled. At Tagby’s worked 3,000 visitors and 60,000 won, compensation becomes product plus a cash 원고료, photography improves, and the blogger usually publishes in a settled topic. That is where a seeded post starts to read like a recommendation.
Above roughly 10,000 daily visitors, at a computed 200,000 won and climbing, you are buying a specific account with standing on a topic, and the formula stops predicting the price. It is a floor.
Withholding sits between the quoted 원고료 and the money leaving the account. A blogger without a business registration is paid net of 3.3 percent where the work is continuous business income. A one-off 원고료 is other income at 8.8 percent, but only above the 과세최저한 (gwasechoejeohan, minimum taxable threshold): after the standard 60 percent expense deduction, a single payment of 125,000 won or less carries no withholding at all, which covers most seeded participants at the visitor levels above (National Tax Service, 2026). Confirm whether a per-participant fee is quoted gross or net.
Why Do Seeded Posts So Often Rank for Nothing?
Because Naver ranks the source and the document separately, and a seeding wave often supplies neither an authoritative source nor an original document. The posts exist, the invoice clears, and the target keyword shows none of them.
C-Rank accrues per topic. A participant who normally writes about cafes, travel, and their dog enters your category with the topical authority of a stranger. The mechanics, and what Naver has and has not published, are in the Naver C-Rank and D.I.A. algorithm guide.
The guideline is the second problem. A brief mandating the same title keyword, talking points, and supplied images across one hundred participants manufactures one hundred near-duplicate documents. Naver has run a 유사문서 판독시스템 (similar-document detection system) across blog, cafe, and news search since well before 2018, and D.I.A. evaluates originality at document level. A wave briefed for consistency is briefed for suppression.
Three corrections follow. Brief for variation and supply no stock copy. Buy fewer participants who hold your category over more who hold none. And fix the measurement method before the wave ships, because one keyword-rank screenshot at 30 days will not survive contact with Naver: results are assembled as Smart Blocks whose composition changes by query, date, and user, as how Naver Smart Blocks work explains. Measure logged out on a fixed device and region, name the block you are buying into, and repeat across the retention period. Document craft sits in the Naver blog SEO tactical guide.
Who Carries the Compliance Exposure When a Wave Goes Wrong?
The advertiser. Korea’s Act on Fair Labeling and Advertising binds the business, so a disclosure failure produced by a platform, an agency, or an individual blogger still resolves back to the brand whose product was seeded.
The Korea Fair Trade Commission’s review guideline on endorsements, revised with effect from December 1, 2024, requires the economic-interest disclosure on blogs to sit in the title or opening, in plain Korean, visible without expanding a mobile fold. Tags and footers fail. It also extended the duty to conditional compensation and named phrasing such as 소정의 수수료를 지급받을 수 있음 (“may receive a certain commission”) as inadequate. Korean vendors still circulate older boilerplate.
The December 2, 2025 revision of the KFTC’s economic interest disclosure handbook aimed an example at seeding mechanics: posting a review to be picked as a prize-draw winner or an outstanding reviewer counts as an economic interest. A 우수 후기 (usu hugi, outstanding review) bonus dangled over unpaid participants triggers the duty on the incentive alone.
A further revision took effect June 1, 2026, adding a fifth endorser category, AI-generated virtual persons. It names text media including 블로그 and 인터넷카페 explicitly and requires a line such as “AI를 기반으로 생성된 가상인물이 포함된 게시물입니다” in the title or opening (Korea Fair Trade Commission, 2026). Synthetic presenter imagery in a seeding brief now ships two disclosures on one post.
Enforcement reaches the intermediary layer. In decision 2025-178, dated September 17, 2025, the KFTC ordered an advertising agency, 주식회사 네오프, to stop arranging paid review-format Instagram posts while briefing participants to omit sponsorship labeling, in some cases contacting influencers to have 광고 or 협찬 labels taken down. Under the Act, unfair advertising can draw a corrective order, its publication, and a surcharge of up to 2 percent of related revenue, or 500 million won where revenue cannot be calculated, plus criminal penalties. Read that against a line advertised at 599,000 won. The wider liability picture, including the food, cosmetics and medical statutes that apply regardless of disclosure, is set out in the guide to Korea influencer regulations and creator contracts.
Should This Line Item Exist in a Foreign Brand’s Korea Budget?
For some categories yes, on a small budget with named controls. For others it buys nothing a foreign brand can defend.
It earns its place where usage is the proof and Korean buyers search before committing: restaurants, cafes, salons, and local services on the visit model, and consumer launches needing Korean-language review depth in the launch window. It fails in B2B, and where claims are separately policed: health functional food and functional cosmetics under the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. Medical is the hardest fail. A clinic giving free or discounted treatment for a review is the paradigm case under Article 27(3) of the Medical Service Act, the ban on inducing patients with money or valuables, which carries up to three years imprisonment and licence suspension. The Ministry of Health and Welfare has read hospital 체험단 discounts that way (의협신문 Doctors News, 2022).
Where it belongs, six controls cost nothing. Name the platform and campaign type in the order, so 체험단 does not become 기자단. Require the published URLs at completion with each blog’s daily visitor figure, and a screenshot of each post showing the disclosure in the title or opening. Ask to see the participant brief, and forbid in writing any instruction to omit or remove 광고 and 협찬 labels. Fix the measurement method in advance, and put the retention period and the remedy for early deletion in your order. All six need someone who reads Korean, the real cost of this channel. Where the line sits against other spend is mapped in the digital marketing in Korea channel guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a cheheomdan campaign? It is Korea’s structured blogger seeding model. A brand supplies a product or free visit through a recruitment platform, selected Naver bloggers publish a review to a written brief within a deadline, and the post stays live for a retention period that 미블, 아싸뷰, and 리뷰플레이스 each set at six months in 2026 terms.
How much does Naver blogger outreach cost? Naver seeding prices on daily visitors. Tagby’s compensation guide of April 8, 2026 publishes the starting formula as average daily visitors divided by 1,000, multiplied by 20,000 won, worked at 3,000 daily visitors to 60,000 won. Add product value and shipping per head. Miso’s December 12, 2025 guide puts an average quoted campaign at 599,000 won.
Do cheheomdan reviews have to be labeled as advertising? Yes. The Korea Fair Trade Commission treats a free product or visit as an economic interest, so the duty applies as it does to a cash fee. Since December 1, 2024 the label must appear in the title or opening of a blog post, in plain Korean. A June 1, 2026 revision added AI-generated virtual persons.
Do seeded blog posts actually rank on Naver? Often not. Naver scores the blog as a source and the post as a document, so a participant with no publishing history in your category starts with no topical authority, and a brief forcing identical keywords across a wave produces near-duplicate documents that Naver’s similar-document detection filters out. Measure rank on a fixed method.
