Links are a pivotal factor in many digital marketing aspects and can be used in many different ways. From internal linking your blog posts and web pages in a particular blog post, sharing product pages, or getting traffic to your website from external sources through backlinks, there are many linking strategies.

Sniply Review- Everything You Need To Know About This Custom URL Shortener With Personalized CTAs

In this article, I’m reviewing one of the most convenient link shorteners that converts a long URL into a shortened link. There are many tools like it, namely the prominent bit.ly, TinyURL, and others, but what stands out the most is its feature that allows you to add and customize your call-to-actions for the short links created and the ability to track key metrics like conversions through the link and CTA. So what are you waiting for? Let’s dive right into everything, Sniply, and explore all of its features.

Sniply Review Header

Sniply is the ideal solution to make the most of your traffic with shortened branded links and custom CTAs, driving clicks and conversions. As an intuitive and efficient link creation, management, and analytics platform, Sniply’s current Lifetime Deal offer is too impactful to miss!

What Is Sniply?

What is Sniply

Sniply is a URL shortener that is used to create short links along with a call-to-action to urge potential customers to convert. I’ve used a plethora of the best URL shorteners, from Rebrandly to Rocket Link, but I love how easy it is to use Sniply to create shortened URLs while also adding in my own custom domain and creating branded links with added CTAs.

Sniply also has detailed analytics built into the tool’s dashboard, which acts as a great link management platform along with some exciting integrations, so I love it, to say the least. So here’s the million-dollar question: how does this tool work, and how hard is it to learn and use?

How Does Sniply Work?

First Time Sniply

Let me first reiterate that Sniply is a marketing tool that is easy to use without much of a learning curve. All you have to do is insert your long URLs either in the designated area for link shortening available at the top of the dashboard or in the section called “Sniply Links.”

Here, you will be able to create a new short link by simply adding in your destination URL, choosing from a variety of CTA types like buttons, text, etc., and adding in your CTA and custom message before clicking “shorten URL” or rather the “snip” button. Thereafter, tracking metrics like the click-through rate, conversions, and audience engagement becomes an easy feat.

The above features are easily available on the basic plan. Still, the paid versions escalate the quality of the features along with a fresh set of innovative features that allow custom domains and branded short links. Below, I’ve discussed what you can get on the free URL shortener version of Sniply and its other premium features on higher plans.

Sniply’s Attractive Features

We already understand that Sniply is a tool that makes sharing links more convenient and impactful by converting longer links into shortened links. However, just that is not enough to get potential customers interested to click and convert, and here’s where Sniply shines the most. Sniply has a plethora of diverse offerings, even as a free link shortener, but with more in the paid versions.

Luckily for me and my companies, I invested in a lifetime deal and grabbed this amazing URL shortener with all of its exceptional attributes, from the extensive customization capabilities for call-to-actions to branded domains, their respective shared links, elaborate analytics, and more! Below are all the features offered by Sniply.

Exceptional Customization Features

Exceptional Customization Features

Customization is Sniply’s most attractive attribute, and all of its features allow some extent of customization, whether in link shortening, adding a CTA, or setting up multiple branded links to find out which one is more effective and more.

I’ve explored four important attributes of this amazing URL shortener that allow for personalization and custom branding, which are two things close to my heart because of the ardent digital marketing lover that I am.

Personalized CTAs

This URL shortener allows you to add in a variety of call-to-actions urging customers to click and convert. Apart from being able to change various background colors, font colors, and so on, the tool also allows you to add your own custom message and a CTA in various forms.

You can use the ‘button’ Sniply type, forms, and more to get custom call-to-actions according to what your brand offers. I’ve dissected each Sniply type later on, so stay tuned to have a detailed idea of how Sniply types work.

Custom Domain

A custom domain is unique to your brand, and that’s something I always look for. Currently, I have set up and connected my custom domains for my digital marketing agency and my own brand, Joon K Lee. This helps me create short branded links associated with my unique domain and the destination URL. This custom URL shortener also allows the snipped link to be customized with your own text as snip.ly/your-text instead of sniply.ly/text-generated-by-sniply.

Brand Profiles

These profiles allow you to classify your short links and CTAs for each brand you know. Sniply brand profiles help you store analytics and customization settings separately for managing multiple companies, acting as an effective link management platform. My custom domains are attached to the two brand profiles I have set up for the moment: my personal brand, Joon K Lee, and my digital marketing agency, Inquivix.

I’m still playing around with the tool. Still, I intend to go a step further and use it for my other ventures, too, not just for its position as one of the best link shorteners I have used, but rather for its custom branding and customization capabilities.

A/B Split Testing

The last but most promising feature is how Sniply allows A/B testing to check which of your shortened URLs and CTAs are the best performing in terms of gaining clicks and driving conversions. These detailed analytics help you understand how different URLs and CTAs work to help your brand succeed.

Diverse Sniply CTA Types

The tool allows you to insert your custom CTAs in five ways, with various customization options from themes to positions, background colors, button text colors, and more. Apart from typing in your own custom message, button text, and button URL for button snips, you have different options for the different Sniply types you opt for.

The free account only grants access to button and text Sniply types, while forms, image ads, and hidden Sniply types for short URLs are available on paid plans.

Button Snip

The preview on the right keeps displaying updates to the button according to the chosen message, fonts, and other customization options. You can choose the destination URL before you finish the CTA and go onto the last section to create a unique shortened URL.

Button Type Sniply

Form

Forms are a great way to collect the email addresses of your website visitors that are redirected to another site from yours. This way, you can share quality resources while ensuring you can get your customers to return to you by typing in their email addresses to stay updated with your business.

Text

The subheading is self-explanatory, and texts are simply messages along with a button text connected to the final destination. Whether it’s redirecting to social media platforms or websites, the tool allows you to set your destination and shorter URL accordingly. There are character limits, but they are not shown unless exceeded, so you can try adding a message that works best for your account.

Text Sniply

Image Ad

You can design and add your own image ads and then include the URL of the destination to get visitors to redirect to the intended content.

Hidden Snip

The hidden snip is a way to track users and their actions on websites without displaying an ad. This helps gain valuable insight and comparable retargeting metrics, allowing you to optimize web pages and other tools that generate more clicks and conversions.

Intuitive Dashboard and Comprehensive InBuilt Analytics

Intuitive Dashboard and Comprehensive InBuilt Analytics

How and where you see information on a tool you use can make or break the quality of your user experience. This URL shortener comes with a clear dashboard showcasing everything you would possibly need to track or have an overview of. But that’s not what makes Sniply so promising to me.

Instead, the reason I think the tool is the best URL shortener is because of the comprehensive and extensive analytics that can be used to create better CTAs and shortened links across your websites, social media accounts, and other platforms.

Organized List of Call-To-Actions and Snips Used

List View CTA and Snips

A simple choice from a drop-down list for brands, CTAs, or snips will allow you to see the separate list completely with ease. The number of clicks and conversions are displayed side by side. You can further prod in by clicking on the CTA or snip and find more metrics, some of which I have explored below.

Easy Overview of Key Metrics

Dominate SERP Metrics Overview

The image above shows you every analyzed metric that this custom URL shortener tracks, which can be seen when you click on a particular CTA that is live. You can see the associated snips created along with A/B split testing results, clicks, conversions, email submissions, and much more.

Clicks

These are a measure of the engagement rate of your snip, CTA, or brand as a whole. As the name suggests, it is the number of times users click on your Sniply links.

Conversions and Conversion Rates

Conversions are how many users complete a specified action that you expect them to do for your brand to grow. For example, the number of emails you receive on your Sniply form is the number of conversions that a particular snip and CTA generates.

Tracking this metric helps you understand the number of conversions and their impact on your brand. You don’t need a separate tool to measure the conversions generated from this link shortener!

Average Pages Per Visit

The number of pages covered per visit along with the time spent on the website and how much time is spent on the first-page help understand just how effective each page is and which of them are the best to redirect users to from websites that your shortened link is shared on.

Average Time Spent on the Site

As mentioned above, tracking the time spent on the website allows you to optimize the sites according to how long users spend on them. This way, you can link to the better aspects of the website more often while also improving the components of the site that don’t perform as well.

Bounce Rates

This is a measurement of how many users leave your web pages without clicking through or converting. This is also an important metric to determine the effectiveness of your links, CTAs, and overall strategy.

I use this metric to reevaluate my branded links, improving the attractiveness of the custom message and ensuring that my target audience has a better offer than the links that garnered a high bounce rate.

Tracking Conversions

Tracking Conversions

The final and most vital factor is the answer to the question, “Is your audience converting?”. It’s important to know how many of your site’s visitors convert into paying customers, email subscribers, etc., depending on what action denotes a conversion for your short links. Sniply ensures that your visitors convert by verifying the conversions through the conversion pixel.

Conversion Pixel

You can include a conversion pixel on a final landing page that signifies a successful conversion, for example, a thank you page after purchase or email subscription. With this, you can track the number of people who clicked on your call-to-action and completed a purchase, subscribed to your newsletter, etc. I find this to be such a valuable analysis and it is one of the most useful features for analyzing traffic quality.

Increased Efficiently with Multiple Integrations

Sniply is not just a tool to make long links shorter and add them to your web pages. Instead, the tool is all about getting your target audience to stay with you through personalized approaches and attractive offerings to optimize conversions. This is why the tool integrates with multiple of the best-performing tools on the market, from Chrome to Hootsuite, acting as a direct Google URL shortener, link shortener for social media marketing, and more!

Chrome Extension

Chrome Extension

Sniply’s Google link shortener option is one of its most convenient integrations, simply allowing you to directly snip your long link to create a short URL and add in a custom CTA wherever you are on the search engine.

Applications

Sniply Integrations

Sniply is more than a URL shortener and covers many aspects with its integrations, from pairing with Active Campaigns and MailChimp for email marketing, LinkedIn and Twitter for social networking, PostPlanner for more meaningful content strategies, Salesforce for customer relationship management, and many more. The plethora of apps Sniply allows you to use with its system allows you to make the most of your linking strategies, whether it is on your social media, site, etc.

Embed on Website

Embed on Website

This feature allows you to connect your domain instead of Sniply’s, redirecting all links to that specific domain. A code is generated to be added to your site’s body tag, which will transform how your outbound links and internal links work together so that all your visitors who click on external links will be taken to a Sniply page with your call to action visible.

Suggestions for Improvements on Sniply

Suggestions for Improvements in Sniply

In the short span of time using the tool, I do have a few concerns, too. As an affiliate marketer, I prefer connecting my affiliate links to my custom-branded domain. However, I was presented with an error message for some of my affiliate links, which I find quite disappointing. The other suggestion I would give is to introduce the QR code generator option available on the infamous bit.ly, which allows the generating of custom QR codes for better mobile conversion rates!
